As An Advocator of Fitness....
I know exactly what it feels like to just finish a good workout. I also know the feelings one has right before a workout. I relate it a lot to also having your picture professionally taken the first time.
Your first workout is always the hardest. You don't know the instructor or trainer. You don't know exactly what to wear or sometimes what to bring. You don't know what to expect. You might feel uncomfortable or nervous. You almost go into it "blinded" and hoping for the best. You question if you can do it. You question if it'll all be worth it in the end.
I have so many photography clients come to me and tell me the same thing when I first meet them. But an hour later, they walk away feeling great and amazed by how easy and fun it was. And sometimes, some can't wait to do it again. Just like a great workout
As a part-time fitness instructor, I knew I had a calling. I had to merge my two passions into one. I wanted to showcase the people who motivated us, be it our instructors or just the person who we saw lose weight "right before our eyes" in our fitness class over the past year. I wanted to show the beauty in being fit and working out. I wanted to show their glowing and inspiring smiles, but mostly their passion for what they do. I wanted to show their bodies and what they had worked so hard for. I just wanted to show how great they were.
A great attitude can do more than change you on the inside and outside. It can positively affect everyone around you. You might not be a size 2, but if you are happy and healthy in your size 16, then that's all that matters. Just keep smiling and stay confident. Because a great smile can change the world and everyone around you to accomplish AMAZING things. We are all motivators. If you believe you can do it, anything is possible.
